Human / Not Human

Effective date: July 16, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Human / Not Human (the “app,” “we,” “us”), operated by SphereSync, handles information when you use the app. Human / Not Human is a lighthearted camera toy: you point your camera at something and an on-device model gives one of three playful verdicts — Human, Suspicious, or Not Human. It is for entertainment only.

The short version: the app has no accounts and no sign-in. Camera images are analyzed entirely on your device and are never saved or uploaded by us. We do not collect personal information. The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob, which processes limited device information to serve those ads, as described below.

1. Information we collect

Camera

The app needs camera access to work. Each frame from the live camera preview is analyzed on your device, in real time, to estimate whether a person is present. These images are not photographed, saved, stored, or transmitted by the app, and are never sent to us or to any third party. Nothing from your camera leaves your device.

On-device settings

The app stores a couple of small preferences locally on your device only — whether the spoken verdict is muted, and whether you have seen the one-time intro. These never leave your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, or microphone audio. The app requests no microphone, photos, or location permission. We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs of our own.

2. How we use information

3. Advertising

The app displays a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process limited information from your device, which can include device and advertising identifiers, IP address, coarse/derived location, and ad-interaction and diagnostic data. This processing is carried out by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy, and how Google uses data in its products and services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where required by law, a consent prompt for personalized advertising may be shown. You can also limit ad personalization through your device’s advertising settings (for example, Android’s “Ads” settings or resetting/deleting your advertising ID).

4. How information is shared

5. Children

Human / Not Human is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. It is not listed in a children’s or “Kids” category. Because the app shows advertising, it is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older.

6. Permissions & your choices

7. Data retention

We do not collect or retain personal information about you. The only data the app stores are the small on-device preferences described above, which remain on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall it. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained by Google under its own policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
